1.  What class of drug can burn the therapist’s hands if the client is massaged within 24 hours after the medication being administered?


Certain chemotherapy medications (like Myleran and Cytoxan) exit through the client’s skin and can burn a therapist if massage is performed within 24 hours after the drug is administered.  While massage for chemotherapy patients is encouraged, certain precautions are necessary (and are detailed in the book).
